K-POP

an abbreviation of KOREAN POP or KOREAN POP MUSIC 

its is compose of different  kinds of MUSIC GENRE that is originated from SOUTH KOREA.

K-POP songs and artist had reached the hearts of most teenager and adult all over ASIA and also in some parts of the World.

thus, their style in fashion, and hair styles  are very much appreciated by most of young people now a days, even their parents would dress up their daughter or son in Korean style,

THE HISTORY

                    The debut of the group Seo Tai-ji & Boys in 1992 was a turning point for popular music in South Korea. Incorporating elements of rap rock and techno music. Hip hop duos such as Deux also were popular in the early 1990s.

                   Groups such as as Fin.K.L, g.o.d., H.O.T., Sechs Kies, S.E.S., and Shinhwa had huge success in the 1990s. Also during this period was the emergence of hip hop and R&B music in Korea, leading to the success of artists including Drunken Tiger and 1TYM.

                   The founding of South Korea's largest talent agency, S.M. Entertainment, in 1995 by Korean entrepreneur Lee Soo Man led to the first K-pop girl groups and boy bands. By the late 1990s, YG Entertainment, DSP Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment had burst onto the scene and were producing talent as quickly as the public could consume it. 

                       K-pop had even dominated foreign markets in Asian as well as outside of Asia, like the US, 

Canada, and Australia. In 2009 the "WONDER GIRLS" who after gaining awards from rookie of the month,song of the month, best new female group, female photogenic award, digital music Bonsang and popularity award last 2007 plus a lot more award on 2008 and 2009. In 2009 Wonder Girls became the first Korean singers to place on the U.S. Billboard d Hot 100 chart with their single "NOBODY".  The following year solo artist and another girl group 2ne1 began topping various music charts throughout US and Canada.  In 2011 The Big Bangs Tonight became the first K-pop album ro reach the top 10 on US itunes chart and is the only non-Englisg language album in the TOP 100.

                Some artist began calloborating with other artist like Kanye West, Rodney Jerkins and Will.i.am.

        Now, there are a more soaring start of k-pop industry. Just like the Super junior 

who had just finished their Super Show 3 in Manila, in which it was totally amazing for those who had gone there. 

               Formed last 2005 under SM Entertainment . They are the first one to debut with the largest number of members in group. Handed by their great leader Lee Teuk. They also have sub-groups targeting different kinds of industries and audiences. These 13 Boys has very unique style of singing and dancing. Not only that they also in the means of acting and hosting.

Another k-pop group that catches a lot of audiences is the Shinee  

 this another K-pop group is know for their genre of song which is Contemporary R&B. formed last 2008 under SM Entertainment and headed by a great singer Lee Jin Ki or know as ONEW. Shinee is also considered to be a fasion icin for they started the Shining Trend. Thses Shining Trend features high-top sneakers , thus they were the endorsers of REEBOK, skinny jeans and colorful sweaters.  

The third one is popular among guys. They are the Girls Generation of also known as So Nyeo Shi Dae 

 these Girl Group is so popular among guys, not only because they have great talents but also they are cute, beautiful and sexy. They are also the first female group to debut with 9 members  last 2007 also under SM Entertainment  and headed by their leader Taeyeon.

Filipinos engaged in so many ways

They have rare talent

but what makes this talent went to waste??

Is it because they patronage other country, rather than their own?

                  Now a days most of Filipino Citizens especially the Filipino teenager, love the K-pop music as well as Foreign music. You can even notice that even in their local channels that they are promoting foreign movies, foreign activities, foreign song and a lot more. How about promoting their own music? Culture? Movies? and a lot more to offer.

  the song in their chart are mostly of foreign songs, especially their segment 

 most of the songs that was being part of these segment were almost foreign songs. you barely hear some Local songs. 

        And now a days its so rare to here Tagalog songs, cause most of their young singers even the older one sings English songs not their own language. 

        Accepting the fact that Filipinos are more fluent in English but do please show the real Filipino music, and let the new generation appreciate the essence of the OPM songs and the ballad songs sung by their very own great artist.

     Also known as p-pop,, Korean pop music or the k-pop had given a great influence to our so-called P-pop.

     When the Korean Wave strike the Philippines Filipinos all over the country got crazy about this new wave, and as the time goes by, the VIVA Records show off their first talent of the Pinoy version of k-pop know as P-POP.  

      XLR8

      This is the first p-pop group to debut in the Philippines, who debuted under Viva Records. Consist of eight (8) members. This group receive so much criticism for the fact that they copy the beat of "Sorry Sorry" to their "Your so Hot" music video.         K-Pop fan girls here in Philippines got was disappointed by this, thus haters exist. and also another song of XLR8 was said to be copied from B2st  Just Before Shock.
